Jordy Smith Wins Billabong Pro Jeffreys Bay

Jordy wins J-Bay event

South African Jordy Smith won his first ASP World Championship Tour event at the2010 Billabong Pro Jeffreys Bay contest in South Africa.  The 22-year old regular footer met up against Aussie Adam Melling in the final at the world famous right hand point break.

“This is the best day of my life,” Smith said.  ”The crowd on the beach has been supporting me the last few days and hearing the cheers and the Vuvuzelas just got me fired up to perform.  It feels like they’re pushing me along.  I couldn’t have done it without them.”
