Hollywood legend Jack Nicholson’s daughter, Lorraine, is following in his footsteps in the upcoming movie “Soul Surfer.”

Lorraine, 19, is the daughter of Nicholson and model and actress Rebecca Broussard, one of the many famous women - including Anjelica Huston, Michelle Phillips, and Lara Flynn Boyle - to whom he’s been linked.

It was the revelation in the media that Broussard was pregnant with his child that ended his 16-year relationship with Huston in 1989. Nicholson and Broussard also have a son together, Raymond Nicholson, who is two years younger than Lorraine.

The young actress has been spotted filming on the beaches of Hawaii for her new role in “Soul Surfer,” a biopic about surfer Bethany Hamilton, who lost her arm during a shark attack six years ago in Kauai.

While the lead role went to Anna Sophia Robb, Nicholson plays Hamilton’s best friend Alana Blanchard, who was present the day of the attack.

Hamilton is happy with the cast.

“They wanted a one-armed person doing it and that’s not easy to find,” Hamilton told the Daily Mail.

“But it will be intense seeing people playing my family and me,” says the surfer, who was back in the water three weeks after the incident and hasn’t stopped surfing since.

As for Nicholson, she realized she wanted to be an actress after growing up around film sets with her Oscar-winning father, she said in an interview with Teen Vogue in 2006.

She has had a few minor roles in blockbusters like “The Princess Diaries 2″ and her father’s “Something’s Gotta Give,” and has already made an appearance at a major awards show: She was Miss Golden Globe at the 2007 ceremony.
